✨ AI-Enhanced Insights
Revelstoke Airport (YRV/CYRV) is a small public airport serving Revelstoke, British Columbia, located just southeast of downtown in the Columbia Mountains. It mainly supports general aviation, charter flights, and emergency services rather than scheduled airline service. Its single runway and mountain-valley setting make it a scenic but weather-sensitive gateway to Revelstoke and nearby outdoor recreation.
💡 Local Tip
Frequent visitors call ahead to confirm runway conditions, fuel availability, and operating hours, since YRV can be quiet and services may be limited; always have a weather alternate such as Kelowna or Salmon Arm.
🚖 Getting There
YRV is roughly a 5–10 minute drive from downtown Revelstoke; taxis and pre-arranged shuttles are usually the most reliable options. Rental cars are typically arranged in town, not at the airport, so confirm pickup before arrival. In winter, check DriveBC for Highway 1 conditions and allow extra time for snow, ice, and mountain weather.
