✨ AI-Enhanced Insights
Union Island International Airport (UNI/TVSU) is a small regional airstrip on Union Island in the southern Grenadines, just north of Clifton Harbour. It handles turboprop flights from Barbados, St. Vincent, Grenada, and other Grenadine islands, serving as a gateway to the Tobago Cays Marine Park. Its short runway, open-air terminal, and close proximity to the waterfront give it a distinctly laid-back Caribbean character.
💡 Local Tip
Frequent visitors keep bags under 15 kg and carry small EC or US bills; the short runway means strict baggage limits on turboprops, and cash is still king for taxis and water taxis around Clifton.
🚖 Getting There
Taxis usually meet arriving flights and can take you to Clifton, Ashton, or local hotels; fares are typically in Eastern Caribbean dollars or US dollars. Water taxis from Clifton connect to Mayreau, Palm Island, and the Tobago Cays, but they should be arranged in advance. Public transport is limited, so confirm pickup with your accommodation before arrival.
