✨ AI-Enhanced Insights
Samsun-Çarşamba Airport (SZF/LTFH) is the main gateway for Samsun Province on Turkey's Black Sea coast. Opened in 1998 and located about 25 km east of central Samsun, it handles domestic routes plus seasonal international and charter flights from a compact terminal complex. Its position near the Çarşamba plain makes it convenient for eastern Samsun Province and the wider Black Sea region.
💡 Local Tip
Don't confuse the airport's Çarşamba name with Çarşamba town center—it sits between Samsun and Çarşamba, so confirm your drop-off point and fare before leaving the terminal.
🚖 Getting There
The most reliable options are taxi, pre-booked private transfer, or car rental; the drive to central Samsun takes roughly 30–40 minutes. Shuttle buses often timed to flight arrivals run to Samsun and Çarşamba, but verify the return schedule in advance. If you're staying in Çarşamba rather than Samsun, the airport is much closer, so don't assume you need to go into Samsun first.
