✨ AI-Enhanced Insights
Enniskillen/St Angelo Airport (ENK/EGAB) is a general aviation airfield about 3 nautical miles north of Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, on the shores of Lough Erne. Originally developed as RAF St Angelo during World War II, it now handles private and training flights, helicopter operations, and occasional special events rather than regular commercial airline service. Its single runway and lakeside setting make it a convenient gateway for visitors to the Fermanagh Lakelands.
💡 Local Tip
Call ahead to confirm PPR, opening hours, and fuel availability—St Angelo is a quiet GA field, and outside normal hours you may find no staff on site. Also check wind direction, as the lakeside runway can have notable crosswinds when Lough Erne is breezy.
🚖 Getting There
By road, the airport is reached from Enniskillen via the A32 and local signs, with a journey of about 10–15 minutes by car or taxi. Public bus service is not directly to the terminal, so arranging a taxi or rental car in Enniskillen is the most practical option. If flying in, confirm PPR, opening hours, and fuel availability before departure.
